Gorillaz co-creator and video director, Jamie Hewlett, teamed up with co-directors, Tim McCourt and Max Taylor from The Line, and live-action director Evan Silver from Ruffian, to create the sun-drenched music video starring a roller-skating 2D and a busking Jack Black, filmed entirely in Venice Beach, California. The video, produced in-house at The Line Animation in London, blends beautiful traditional hand drawn animation techniques with stunning live-action. Tim McCourt and Max Taylor, the creators and directors of Amaro & Walden’s Joyride short film bring their 2D and live action expertise to this impressive new Gorillaz music video.
